Traveling to Everland is usually in every Korea tourist’s list, especially when you have kids with you. Or if you like to see some wildlife, or just love theme parks and rollercoasters, going to Everland is a great way to satisfy that inner child in you.

But one good question to ask is – how do I get there?

While there are tour options you can take from Seoul to Everland – a DIY option is always available. And why not, Korea’s public transportation is pretty convenient. It’s also pretty affordable too. Commuting to Everland is no exception.

Buses and Trains

The several basic commute options available to get you from Seoul to Everland – via bus or subway, or a combination of both.

But whichever option you take, once you reach Everland Station (which is also the drop-off area for the public bus, you can take the Everland shuttle bus from there to the theme park. It’s free and it only takes 5 minutes to get to Everland from the station.

It takes about 2 hours to get to Everland from Seoul’s city center (Myeondong, Dongdaemun, etc).

PUBLIC BUS

By public bus, you may use bus 5002 that stops near Gangnam Station. If you’re not in the Gangnam area, you can take another bus or subway to get there. There are also buses coming from Jamsil and Sadang Station. Travel time from Gangnam is approx 1.5 to 2 hours.

Considering the time to travel to Gangnam, it can take 2.5 hours from Myeongdong.

Also, I’d avoid this option during peak season to avoid queuing so long or standing the whole trip. This is why we prefer taking the subway all the way.

SUBWAY

Make your way toward’s Giheun Station where you will transfer to the Yongin Everland line. Fare from Myeongdong to Jondae/Everland Station will be around 2450-3350KRW (Approx US$2.2-3.5 to date). The fare difference depends on the route.

From Jondae Everland station, all you need to do is cross the overpass. Then go look for the Free Everland Shuttle Bus. Just follow the crowd.

OTHER OPTIONS

There are also Shuttle Bus options available from different pickup points in Seoul. The roundtrip fee is about 12000KRW (approx US$11.5).
